On 15 April 2025, at Casa dell’Architettura (Piazza Manfredo Fanti 47, Rome), the event Giornata Nazionale del Made in Italy – Italia Made in Italy, promoted by OAR (Ordine degli Architetti PPC di Roma e provincia), brought together scholars, professionals, and institutional representatives to reflect on the cultural and inventive value of Italian design and production.

Within the session dedicated to “Invenzioni Made in Italy”, Ilaria Giannetti (Università degli Studi di Roma Tor Vergata) presented the research project Upcycling Architecture in Italy, outlining the project’s work on twentieth-century patents and the valorization of archival sources within broader reflections on innovation, industrial culture, and the role of architects in shaping contemporary design paradigms.
